We are a five star GOLD property based less than 5 miles from Alton Towers.

Handel’s Muse is really a first class, romantic, 2 person apartment barn (this is a Four Star **** GOLD property – it would have been a five star one, but it’s got no bath, only a marble tiled shower room & Italian designer suite!!!) with its own private garden. In addition to the double tester bed, there is also a sofa-bed in the lounge designed for either 2 little ones or one big one! Well behaved children of all ages are allowed in this property.

Gorsey Hayes is the larger of our barns and is a luxury 18th century threshing barn with 3 bedrooms (double 4 poster with en suite wet-room downstairs for the less able, a super king size bedroom no. 2 which splits to make a twin room if necessary, and a master bedroom which has a king size bed and additional single cast iron bed making it a family room). There is a private Japanese garden for guests to enjoy, together with 2 patios with lots of seating, chiminea/heater, umbrellas, double brick BBQ etc. Unfortunately, due to the few spoiling it for the many, we have had to exclude children under the age of 8 in this barn.

Both properties come fully equipped, are full of antiques, oak beams, original paintings and ooze charm. Designed, really, for the more discerning guest who will appreciate the quality and tranquillity we have to offer at Oldfields.
